Everyone Wants to Conquer Their Smoking Habit

Even if the smokers numbers are in continuous growth, the numbers of persons who stop smoking are also growing. Out of one billion smokers, more than 70 percent of them are surprisingly located in countries with emerging economies. During the last 10 years, many things have been spoken and written about smoking, a habit that is deeply rooted in humanity’s origins for many centuries. Nowadays, articles featuring anti-tobacco campaigns are fashionable.
Nowadays, smokers that wish to find out more about their habit, about the risks that are subjecting themselves to or about placed where they can go if they want to quit smoking can read numerous publications or go to specialized anti-smoking cabinets, TV shows and some websites where all the necessary data can be found.
People that tried quitting for a few time but couldn’t do it often call their family doctor. The fascinating fact about smokers is that they all want to quit after a period of time, but they were never forced into this habit. People usually start smoking at very young ages. But addressing to a teenager that smokes is not very simple, and all age and social related issues must be regarded. Studies on how to facts on smoking show that young people start smoking right after they turn 13, or at least most do. Young people decide to smoke based on social influence and pressure.
Of course, we will have to take into consideration the bad mass media influence as well. Girls are tend to care more about what they see in cigarettes commercials, a German study reveals. The young girls associated smoking with the favorable image induced by cigarettes advertisements.
Many more negative habits that young people tend to have can lead to smoking. Here we can count the consumption of drugs and alcohol, smoking mothers, especially in mono-parental families, certain psychical malfunctions. Also, we find more and more smokers amongst those who don’t eat breakfast regularly, don’t do any sports and spend a lot of time in front of the computer.
